these are pieces by artist Mihoko Ogaki where she depicts the cycle of life, death and rebirth. these works "say" everything i could not until now...
this is a note of grateful contemplation. i can look back and realize each fleshly piercing that life dealt me was a face-to-face moment with my own light, darkness, strengths and weaknesses. a great life has an arduous journey. in the journey, do we learn how to live? mostly marginalized but resilient, i lived many of David's psalmic joys and pains…and prayed, a LOT. but then i left "IT" alone...the confusing, lackluster, painful existence that was my life. i became a walking paradox...weak but strong. i learned to honor the PROCESS of becoming…the shaking of everything comfortable and known until only the real remains…”the beautiful destruction.” my past may be a prerequisite for my future but it does not determine it. i know the value of my being. with mind rinsed and eyes cleared, i see.
